We are comfortable working in codebases we did not build, and we document our work so that the codebase is in better shape when we finish than when we started.

A project typically starts with an initial call to understand what you are building, where you are in the process, and what kind of engagement makes sense. From there, we conduct a discovery phase — the scope of which depends on the complexity of the project and how much has already been defined. Discovery produces a clear picture of requirements, architecture approach, and project scope. We then provide a detailed proposal covering timeline, team composition, and cost. Development begins after the proposal is agreed.

Can DevSofit work with an internal development team?

Yes. We work alongside internal engineering teams in several configurations — as an extension of the team working on specific features or services, as a specialist team handling a particular area such as infrastructure or data engineering, or as a technical advisory resource supporting architectural decisions and code review. We adapt to the working practices of the internal team rather than imposing our own process, and we document our work so that the internal team can maintain it independently after the engagement ends.

Do you provide support after launch?

Yes. We offer ongoing maintenance and support engagements for products we have built. This covers dependency management, security patching, performance monitoring, bug fixes, and incremental feature development. We also provide support for products we did not build originally, following a technical review to understand the codebase. Continuity of engineering support after launch is important — the period immediately after a product goes live is when the most important feedback arrives and the most valuable improvements can be made.
